The attributes associated with the Slytherin students include cunning, and ambition, with a determination to accomplish an end, regardless of the means. Slytherin doesn't exactly have a great reputation and some of Harry Potter's antagonists such as Draco Malfoy (mind you, he repented and is a good Slytherin) Severus Snape, and top villain Lord Voldermont are Slytherins. But let's not let a couple of bad apples ruin the whole bunch, Merlin was a Slytherin!
