Women's Costumes To Look Out For This Halloween
Halloween is coming up pretty soon and that means costume shops are going to be preparing for the stressful and fun craze that is costume shopping. So much is in store for this year's Halloween with the thought of how many amazing costumes are going to be seen roaming in the streets or having fun at a costume party. So much has been happening this year and it's definitely going to influence the latest trends in women's costumes for Halloween night. Some of these women's costumes are the results of films or shows that have drawn in a lot of attention this year and costumes from previous Halloweens that are still rubbing off as a fun idea for women this year! So let's take a look at some women's costumes to look out for this Halloween!
Wonder Woman
For the past two years, Wonder Woman has been shining in the spotlight on the big screen, first appearing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, then having her own solo film, and reappearing in Justice League. Before Gal Gadot's portrayal of Wonder Woman on-screen, Wonder Woman's costume has always been around on Halloween night with the classic red, blue, and yellow colors, the cape, the golden tiara, armbands, and the iconic lasso. Nowadays, as it still pays homage to the traditional Wonder Woman costume, Wonder Woman's costume design from the recent DC films have been the most popular move for Halloween and even cosplay events. So, Diana Prince, the princess of Themyscira, will be a fun costume sight on Halloween!
Linda from Bob's Burgers
Bob's Burgers just recently returned to televisions all around in September of this year and the comedic cartoon show based around a "third generation restaurateur" and his family has gained a massive audience since it's beginning in 2011. The show is also been given a rating of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes and continues to give watchers the best of laughs! One loved character from the show is Linda, Bob's wife who has a hilarious mom personality like no other. You can hopefully see some pretty amazing Linda costumes on Halloween night!
Black Widow
Black Widow has been around, tossing around bad guys like rag dolls, for a long time since she was brought to the Marvel universe in Iron Man 2. Black Widow has gone up against some of the worst, even having to face her own friends in Captain America: Civil War. Every time, she's always seemed to prevail only with a few scratches and bruises and well, you should the other guy. Black Widow's costume as well, is always a big choice amongst female Marvel fans for Halloween or to wear as cosplay. After her epic fights in Avengers: Infinity War, you can look forward to seeing a couple of Black Widows walking around and shooting dangerous high-kicks! Also with a blonde wig instead of a red one!
Mrs. Incredible
Mrs. Incredible came back to the big screen this year in Incredibles 2 and the long-waiting fans were going wild! Mrs. Incredible became the supermom she's meant to be and we even got to see her take on crime on her own as the classic Elasitgirl. Incredibles 2 was a huge success so with that fact in mind, the red suits and the unforgettable "i" logo will be a highlight for Halloween night. Also, Mrs. Incredible (Elastigirl) is going to stretch her way into some Halloween fun!
Gamora
This Guardian of the Galaxy and also the infamous daughter of the Mad Titan himself is not someone you want to anger. Gamora is known to be one of the most dangerous assassins out there but luckily, she uses her skills for good alongside the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Gamora played a vital role in the story-line of Avengers: Infinity War involving Thanos' mission to collect the infinity stones. All Marvel fans love Gamora and may be mourning extremely still from what took place on-screen. Gamora's costume is styled with intimidation and simply emits those dangerous assassin vibes. On Halloween night, keep an eye out for someone with green skin and a dangerous-looking sword!
Shuri
Shuri is loved by Marvel fans as the feisty and extremely smart sister of the Black Panther who also played a part in designing his new suit and fascinating technologies shown in the film. It's already been proven in Avengers: Infinity War that Shuri has a higher intellectual level compared to Bruce Banner and possibly Tony Stark. The most amazing of all of this is how young Shuri actually is, being only 16 years old and at the same time, the head of the Wakanda Design Group. Shuri's costume is designed to match the African-based culture of Wakanda while also displaying the advancements of their technology. On the topic of superhero costumes, Shuri's costumes should make the cut for Halloween night this year.
Belle
Even though the Beauty and the Beast film, starring Emma Watson, was released back in the springtime of 2017, the Disney princess, Belle, is always a costume sight for the time of Halloween. Beauty and the Beast, of course, follows the classic story of a prince, cursed to be a beast, striving to find his one true love to relieve him of his curse. It's not hard to guess why with Belle's costume being a bright and beautiful yellow dress. Belle's costume makes appearances on Halloween night, both worn by women and kids and can never truly get old. It's time to get in that Disney mood this year!
Wasp
Wasp, after much anticipation, made her full on amazing appearance on-screen in the Marvel film Antman and the Wasp in the summertime of this year. She was featured in the first Ant-man but only as Hope Pym and not in her full prime as they also teased fans with her costume at the end of the 2015 film. Ant-Man can't be Ant-Man without the Wasp and that was definitely proven in the most recent film. The two superheroes are one of the most classic duos in Marvel history. So this Halloween will see a good amount of Wasp costumes around this Halloween!
Harley Quinn
While Harley Quinn may have been featured in the 2016 Suicide Squad film, her costume always makes an appearance around the time of Halloween. Almost all of the time, you'll see Harley Quinn's costume paired up with the Joker's costume. Harley Quinn hasn't been seen on-screen in some time but hopefully, she'll make her return soon! The lovable DC villain gained a lot of love and fans after her appearance in Suicide Squad. So it really isn't much of a surprise to see that Harley Quinn's costume remains to be a popular trend during the season of Halloween. So you can expect to see a couple of Harley Quinn's on the night of Halloween this year!
Dora Milaje
The Dora Milaje made their iconic appearance in the Black Panther film this year and were a group of the many characters that made a major impact on the list of astonishing African American superheroes within Marvel. The Dora Milaje are a strong and elite force of women in Wakanda that have a duty of protecting the Black Panther. Among the Dora Milaje is Okoye, who is the general of the Dora Milaje and is a majorly loved character from the Black Panther film. The Dora Milaje costumes in the film were beautifully designed and were amazingly influenced by African culture. It'd be perfect to see a couple of Dora Milaje costumes with a Black Panther costume on Halloween night!
