Netflix Announces Plans To Release A New Marvel Series Every 6 Months!

Marvel Comics has been holding something of a monopoly on superhero films and television shows lately, following a multi-million dollar acquisition by Disney Pictures. With exciting, flashy, and iconic characters like Spider-Man, X-Men, Deadpool, and more; things just keep getting better and better for Marvel Comics lovers everywhere! Given the enormous success of Netflix Studios’ Daredevil, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, fans are hungry for more of their favorite Marvel crime fighters – and Netflix seems all-too willing to deliver.

A spokesperson for Netflix announced the company’s partnership with Marvel at the Television Critics Association’s summer meet-up, stating that the company intends to produce a new Marvel-based series every 6 months. Comic book junkies are rejoicing, and the news couldn’t have come at a better time. Given the blockbuster success of recent films like Ant-Man and The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, more and more fans are tuning into the company’s independent productions. Characters confirmed to be receiving the Netflix treatment include Jessica Jones, The Defenders, and Iron Fist. Undoubtedly, news of more up-and-coming Marvel superhero shows will inspire some pretty cool Cosplay and  this fall! A defining feature of Marvel Comics superheroes is their inclination for flashy, iconic outfits.

Fans love dressing up as their favorite superheroes, and the wide popularity of Marvel Comics productions gives the more inspiration to do so. Even “The Punisher”, a no-nonsense, gun-toting vigilante who’s trademark outfit consists of a simple black skull t-shirt and jeans is fair game! In retrospect, it’s pretty clear that the Marvel trend won’t be going away anytime soon – leaving competitors in a bit of a pickle, Marvel costume ideas no doubt!
