Pocahontas Costumes - Let’s talk about Thanksgiving, the pilgrims came to the land of the Indians and eventually had supper together. You must wonder how many of them fell in love. Well let’s take it up a notch we have this one couple you may be very familiar with John Smith and Pocahontas with their forbidden love from two completely differently worlds, you may wonder how to make a great Indian princess dress but we don’t want you to get pitched with pins and needles having to sew something up so we’ve made it simple for you we have Halloween and Disney Costumes for every occasion, and we know kids love dressing up so we have amazing patterns for your child. Now we all know Pocahontas was adventurous much like Jasmine but what do we know about their story? Pocahontas’ father was the leader of the tribe and he did not want her getting mixed up with John Smith is the Disney story.

Do you know Pocahontas was real though? She was notable for association with the colonial settlement at Virginia and her father was Chief Powhatan. She saved the life of an Indian captive, Englishman John Smith when her father was about to execute him she placed her head upon his own when her father raised his war club. She was a very brave woman and she later became captured by the English during Anglo-Indian hostilities in 1613. So now you know that Pocahontas was real and brave, how do you feel about portraying this character for Halloween? I say it’s an honor.
